Good news for the 14 time Olympic gold medalist. A South Carolina sheriff announced that charges will not be pressed because the above photo does not provide enough evidence to charge him because it is impossible to confirm the contents within the pipe. And we all know what that means....

Page Six is claiming that since the above photo surfaced, Phelps has been extremely aware of photos taken of him during his extra-curriculars. He has reportedly had the windows of his Baltimore house tinted to prevent paparazzi from snapping shots of him at home and has been "hiding out at strip clubs," since they're the only places he can party with no pictures being taken.

When the photo first surfaced a few weeks ago, it seemed as though the outcome was grim. First Kellog said they would not renew their contract with Phelps when their deal expires at the end of February 2009. Then USA Swimming annouced that Phelps would be suspended for 3 months, banning him from competitions and ceasing his monthly stipend of $1,750 a month from the organization during the suspension.

Several of Phelps’s sponsors, including Speedo, Omega and Visa, have accepted his apology. Others, including Subway, have not taken a position. As it stands, Phelps’s actions have put a dent into his sponsorship spoils, which some marketing experts say could reach $100 million in his lifetime.

And for those you are not mathmetically inclined, thats a whole lot of lap dances that will never happen in the champagne room...

First the divorcing couple were spotted out together with the kids. Not too shocking. After all, at the end of the day, every parent wants to provide stability and unity as a family for the sake of their children.

THEN, the two popped up together looking EXTRA cozy while attending Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night charity in Phoenix on April 5.

Now alas, another spotting. The exes were spotted, with their son in tote at the Wildlife World Zoo last weekend.

Carmelo was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Monday morning near downtown Denver after he was spotted weaving and failing to dim his high-beam headlights.

Question:It's a Monday night in Denver - why aren't you at home with your child and baby's mother? Is it that serious?

According to Denver's WKGN, the police apparently had to drive Carmelo home after he was processed. Guess Lala wasn't fittin' to pick his ass up!

Kim Kardashian hosts Caron Butler's birthday party at The Park

Last night, I stepped out for a bit to attend Caron Butler's 28th birthday party at one of my favorite new hot spots, The Park at Fourteenth. The Park has a gorgeous and classy interior, festive accents, and the light appetizers and finger foods were delicious. Very impressive.

Kim Kardashian was the "host" of the event, although I'm not really sure what that entails. Either way, she walked right by me and I must say she was very cute, and more petite than I had originally thought. However, the bundunk wasn't as overwhelming as I often have seen in pictures Maybe it was the dress.

We got there a bit early, and the place was PACKED by 11pm. And when I say PACKED, I mean overwhelmingly so. Between the fake me out divas there with their much older sugar daddies, groupies, stunnas ... it became a bit too much by midnight. I can only imagine how hard it is to orchestrate parties like that.

Celebs spotted: Kim Kardashian, Biz Markie, Ray Lewis, Carmen Electra, Brandon Haywood, Caron Butler, DeShawn Stevenson, Philippe Cousteau and "Onyx" from I Love New York. Onyx by the way was very nice and had no quams with picture requests.

Tom Brady and Eli Manning had their first, post Super Bowl run in last night at Ermenegildo Zegna Store Opening in NYC. Both of them had their ladies by their side, so I'm sure they engaged in some fake, congratulatory banter.

Finally, more details that may provide insight into Hulk Hogan's divorce after 24 years of marriage. The Hulkster allegedly had a fling with his daughter Brooke's best friend, Christiane Plante, who then decided to blab about it to the National Enquirer. She told the Enquirer:

“My relationship with Terry (Hogan's real name) began at a time when Terry and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending. She had left him already, although no official papers had been filed. Terry is a good man, good father and a good friend, and he and I grew close at a time when he was going through a very difficult period. It seemed right then, but I know it was wrong. Having felt the guilt and pain build up, I gave a note to Brooke apologizing for my actions. I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend.”

Yesterday, Brooke Hogan wrote a response to Christiane's tell all on her MySpace blog:

"I think she shoulda thought about what kinda press she was gonna get when she slept with her best friend's famous father . . . I think we're all seeing just exactly how karma works Christiane. Nothing you say will ever put my family back together."

Lil Romeo's recruitment - more hype than skill?

I posted a while back that Lil Romeo (who now goes by Romeo Miller) had signed a letter of intent to play basketball for USC Trojans this fall.

However, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Romeo's recruitment may be due to factors other than his athletic ability. This season, Romeo only averaged 8.6 points a game for Beverly Hills High School, a team that finished in last place in their division.

The WSJ article also implied that it was Romeo's close relationship with highly recruited prospect, Demar DeRozan that may have factored into Romeo's scholarship. Demar and Romeo have played basketball on a club team coached by Romeo's father, Master P since the boys were in eighth grade.

Additionally, perhaps is a PR/revenue generating tactic in the recruitment. USC basketball coach Tim Floyd told the paper, "We may have more 11- to 17-year-old girls in the stands than we've had in the past."

Who knows, but I wouldn't be TOO surprised if Romeo got some quality pine time on the bench. I guess only time will tell.

Kevin Johnson to run for mayor of Sacremento

He just may folks. The 42-year-old, former NBA point guard has announced that he will challenge incumbent Heather Fargo in Sacramento's municipal election this June. Johnson made the announcement at a news conference yesterday at the Guild Theater in Oak Park, a low-income Sacramento neighborhood where he grew up and where he has devoted himself to urban renewal projects after retiring from the NBA.

Johnson, who did not take questions at his news conference, is the only serious opponent to Fargo, who has governed the capital city for the last three terms.

Whoever thought that the 1992 Phoenix Suns would become so politically involved?! Or at least attempt to. Or in Charles Barkley's case, talk about being politically invovled.

Well, apparently Reggie Bush is still trying.According to Page Six, the couple vacationed in the Dominican Republic, checking in Thursday to the Maxim Bungalows. Kim arranged a dinner and cake for Reggie's birthday, and they supposedly spent their vacation lounging by the pool and receiving treatments at the spa before checking out of their approximately $1,000-per-night one-bedroom bungalow on Sunday.

I'm sure these posed, "leaked" pictures from their private vacation has nothing to do with the fact that a new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians starts on Sunday.

The former Dallas Cowboy running back and current ESPN announcer pumped up the crowd at the Reunion Arena in Dallas on Wednesday when he introduced Barack Obama.

After Emmitt's rousing introduction, Obama responded in delight:
"I knew he could play football. I knew he could dance. But I didn't know that he could fire up a crowd the way Emmitt Smith fires up a crowd...I'm just glad he's not running for president."

The endorsement marks the most public declaration by a sports broadcaster during this election season. ESPN currently does not have a network policy that prohibits broadcasters from making their political preferences public information.

All-Star guard, Steve Nash's passion for environmental awareness (who knew?!) has inspired Nike to create the Nike Trash Talk, the first performance basketball shoe made from manufacturing waste.

Nash said :

“Any opportunity to promote the environment and preserve our planet is a step in the right direction. I’m very excited to be one of the first athletes to wear the Nike Trash Talk. I think people will love the shoe, and hopefully by wearing it I can inspire others to try it out as well.”

The suggested retail price of the Talk Trash is $100. Although a novel idea, I just don't see this being the new hottness...

Carey Hart and Pink file for divorce

In sad news, motocross legend Carey Hart and singer Pink have called it quits after 2 years of marriage. Their publicist told People Magazine:

"This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another," While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger."

Brenda Frese gives birth to twins before Duke game

This is just great. University of Maryland women's basketball coach Brenda Frese, gave birth to twin boys yesterday morning, just hours before her team faced rival, Duke.

Markus William Thomas, who was born at 10:21 a.m., then gave birth to Tyler Joseph Thomas 30 minutes later, naturally. Markus weighed five pounds, five ounces at birth and measured 18.5 inches long, while Tyler weighed six pounds, 12 ounces and measured 19.25 inches.

And the Maryland women STILL topped Duke, 76-69. Now that's a win-win!

Candace Cabrera (and ex-girl?) is rumored to be the next winner of Flavor of Love. What's even crazier is that she is not even on the show yet. Apparently Flav adds her at some point, so that's why she may not look familiar for those of you that watched the premiere. MediaTakeout has a few more "classy" pictures of the young lady.

NBA All Star Weekend - Giving Back

Jordan Brand, a division of Nike, Inc., announced yesterday that they will be donating $500,000 to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana's Slidell Unit, to help build a new gym. Michael Jordan and All-Stars Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul joined more than 250 community leaders and New Orleans-area youth for the official dedication and check presentation ceremony.

Spreewell - from ballin' out to down and out

Latrell Spreewell should have just taken the $21 million extension that the Timberwolves offered him back in '05. At the time, he was making $14.6 million and turned down the offer saying "I've got a family to feed." Now the former NBA star is going through some desperate measures to keep that family fed!

His home is up for foreclosure, and his yacht, named "Milwaukee's Best" was sold at auction. Sprewell has failed to make his mortgage payments of $2,593 per month from September 2007 to January 2008, the documents said and is said to be $1.3 million dollars in debt.

ESPN.com also notes:
The 37-year-old Sprewell played 13 seasons in the NBA for the Minnesota Timberwolves, the New York Knicks and the Golden State Warriors. The Milwaukee native was a four-time All-Star, but perhaps best known for choking coach P.J. Carlesimo during a Warriors practice in 1997.

Owens and Romo talk love and football

Jessica Simpson may have accompanied Tony Romo to Hawaii in preparation for the Pro Bowl, but that doesn't mean he didn't find some time to shoot the Hawaiian breeze with teammate Terrell Owens.
Fox Sports sat down to talk to Dallas Cowboys Pro-Bowlers, Terrell Owens and Tony Romo this week in Hawaii. In the interview, they debated karaoke skills, friendship, the Super Bowl and what it is like to have 13 Dallas Cowboys at the Pro Bowl.

Check out a few excerpts below:

Fox Sports: How did you guys hit it off?

Owens: "With the reputation I had coming to Dallas, I demanded we be friends. (Slamming his hand on the table) We're going to be friends and nothing else."
Romo: (Laughing) "I'll always be close to people who want to work hard and win. It's easy to like someone like that. And he's got a good personality. He enjoys being around the guys. We just talk about the game a lot."

Fox Sports: After the game when you got emotional, I thought that was one of the more touching things in sports I'd seen in a while.

Owens: "I already knew what (questions) were going to be directed. What was more important is how we lost the game, what we didn't do right. But I knew (the media) was going to hit me with stuff like, 'Could it have been possibly Tony's preparation and him going to Cabo (with Simpson during the Cowboys' bye week)?' That had nothing to do with nothing. That was like a week beforehand. I didn't want it to go there.

"I've been in that situation before where you get criticized unfairly for sometimes doing the right thing or what you think is the right thing. Obviously, he did what the coach allowed any of the players to do. The thing I hate about it is they didn't invite me to come with them."

Fox Sports: Tony, how do you have to change your life now because of all the attention your relationship with Jessica is getting?

Owens: "I think he's in way over his head."
Romo: "(Smiling) Definitely not. I don't read the stuff like everyone else does, so it doesn't affect me. If I were to watch and read everything that is written and said, as a human being it would probably be difficult.

"I came to an understanding a little while back that no one is going to remember me in five or seven years anyway so let them talk and say what they want to say. In seven years, I'm going to be off doing whatever and living normal so it's like, 'Work hard. Try to do things right in life and forget about the rest of the junk.'"

Fox Sports: Tony, when you first saw T.O.'s post-game interview, what did you tell him?

Romo: "We (text messaged). I told him it meant a lot because you could see that he cared about me and the team. It's like what you said: Any time someone shows a passion for the game, you get excited. You want people who want to win, be competitive and be there for their teammates. That's few and far between in this day and age, but he did that. I think it's just a case where a lot of guys on our team actually enjoy being around each other. That showed."

Just less than a week after his Superbowl win, New York Giant Osi Umenyiora is stepping out with new girlfriend, Victoria Secret model Selita Ebanks.

Ebanks (who was engaged to Nick Cannon just last fall) told People:

"It's one day at time for us. I am very happy."

Ebanks reportedly met the defensive end at a New York Knicks basketball a few weeks ago. When asked if they had plans for Valetine's Day, Ebanks said they haven't nailed down specific plans but she did say how she'd like to spend it with Umenyiora.

The Super Bowl has been over for less than 24 hours, but I already feel so over it. It's like the feeling you get the day after Christmas. All that hype, a peaking, momentary high and then BAM! it's gone.

I was less than impressed by the commercials during this year's Super Bowl. Other than the ETrade baby and Obama's ad, most of the others fell flat.

However, everyone's favorite big kid had a GREAT commercial for Vitamin Water. Something about that man's grin makes me laugh every time!

Oh, and I love the kid in the crowd picking his nose and eating a snow cone. Nice touch!

Amazing game ... too bad Gisele is keeping her clothes on

This was one of the most exciting Super Bowls I have ever seen. All I wanted was to see a good game. Ok, that's not true. I also wanted the Giant's to kick to Patriot's ass. And I was *hoping* to see Tom Brady cry. Anyway, I couldn't handle the thought of seeing all of those 19-0 dynasty shirts. 18-1 has a nice ring to it though ... at least the NY Times thought it did.

But you know what really would have been the icing on the cake? Gisele Bunchen streaking around NYC. Apparently she was so confident that the Pat would win, she made a bet that she would run naked down broadway if he boyfriend's team lost. She regrets now that she said that and offered flashing her boobs from a Time Square billboard as a makegood and calling it a day.

Can we make that happen?

UPDATE: Gisele's agent says the supermodel never made such a pledge. "She didn't say it. This is ridiculous," her agent told PEOPLE. "What's wrong with the world?"

This year's Lingerie Bowl, a Super Bowl halftime show featuring half nekked, hot women playing football, has been cancelled. Horizon Productions, the company that promotes the event, said the city of Scottsdale took too long to process its permits and organizers were left without enough time to find a venue.

Tyson is currently touring South Africa and will a celebrity commentator at a boxing event on this Saturday.

In a country with one of the highest rates of rape, many women's groups in South Africa have protested Tyson being celebrated and honored in the country. In 1991 Tyson served a three-year sentence for the rape of an 18-year-old beauty queen in the United States.

Organizers of the event he attended Wednesday night promised he would make a statement denouncing violence against women. However, he never addressed the issue, made a brief statement about how nice it was to be in South Africa and took his seat next to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

MediaTakeOut is reporting that Lala and Camelo are expecting baby #2, but Bossip.com disputes the reports. Both sources claim to have spoken to reliable sources close to the couple.

Randy Moss' restraining order extended

Lawyers for Randy Moss and the woman who accused him of battery agreed to extend a temporary restraining order she obtained against the wide receiver. The temporary order required Moss to stay at least 500 feet from Washington. They described each other as longtime friends.

Moss' attourney, Richard Sharpstein told the media:

"We have no contest over the restraining order given the current situation. He will stay completely away from her and has no desire to have contact with her," Sharpstein said. "He's in Phoenix busy preparing to win the Super Bowl and on a day like today his mind is elsewhere."

With a face like that who knows what the truth is. Either way, should be interesting to see how this one plays out....

Did all the media pressure and criticism finally get to Tony Romo? Rumor had it that Tony was going to give her the boot. In fact, rumor was that he DID give her the boot and she wasn't having it.

Redskins to honor Taylor #21 at Pro Bowl

Sean Taylor, the first player to ever be voted into the Pro Bowl posthumously, will have his jersey number worn at the game by two of his former Redskin teammates, tight-end Chris Cooley and tackle Chris Samuels .
Cooley and Samuels will each wear his own name on the back of the jersey, above the No. 21. The jerseys will be auctioned after the game, with the proceeds benefiting the Sean Taylor Memorial Trust Fund that was established for Taylor's daughter, Jackie.
