Lebron James might be Vogue-ing

Last night, the infamous Anna Wintour (think:The Devil Wears Prada) was spotted courtside at Madison Square Garden sitting next to Mr. James himself. PageSix is reporting that this was after he dined with Miss Wintour and her boyfriend at the Waverly Inn. I'm sure that was an absolutely delightful evening, right Chantal ;)

Word is that Miss Vogue herself will have Lebron featured on April's magazine cover with supermodel Gisele Bunchen for the annual "shape issue".

Chris Pauls releases Jordan Brand shoe

This past Friday, Chris Paul celebrated the official launch of his first Jordan Brand signature shoe at Republic on Friday in New Orleans. The signature shoe is called The Jordan CP and hit stores this weekend.

"Having my very own sneaker has been a childhood dream. I am thrilled and honored to have this opportunity to launch my first signature shoe with Jordan Brand," said Chris Paul, Team Jordan athlete. "The Jordan CP exceeds all of my on-court needs and this was a great chance for me to design a shoe that reflects my inspirations in life and share it with the world."

The whole shoe design based on numerous significant events and people in Chris' life.

Oh and Idris Elba attended the event also - so I felt it was my rightful duty...no no, CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY to post this picture for my lady friends

Nike "Talk Trash" is some garbage ... literally

All-Star guard, Steve Nash's passion for environmental awareness (who knew?!) has inspired Nike to create the Nike Trash Talk, the first performance basketball shoe made from manufacturing waste.

Nash said :

“Any opportunity to promote the environment and preserve our planet is a step in the right direction. I’m very excited to be one of the first athletes to wear the Nike Trash Talk. I think people will love the shoe, and hopefully by wearing it I can inspire others to try it out as well.”

The suggested retail price of the Talk Trash is $100. Although a novel idea, I just don't see this being the new hottness...

HollyRod Foundation hosts 10th Annual Gridiron Glamour

Holly Robinson-Peete and Rodney Peete hosted the 10th Annual Gridiron Glamour show benefiting the HollyRod Foundation and SARRC in Arizona over weekend.

They are such a strong, positive couple. Gotta love them!

Laila Ali and baseball player Orlando Hudson took a moment to pose on the red carpet...

Pitctured above, baseball player Luis Gonzalez and Eddie Murphy's ex-wife (and Michael Strahan's current boo?) Nicole Murphy...

Couple alert: Cardinal's player Kurt Warner was there with his wife Brenda (left) and Tamia and Grant Hill also came out to support....

Marcus Allen was there look classy, per usual ...

And Browns WR Braylon Edwards threw together quite a dapper outfit for the affair.

Nike Releasing "Green" Air Jordan This Month

Time for some fresh, new kicks? This month, Nike releases Air Jordan XX3, the 23rd edition of the Air Jordan.
You can cop the limited edition ($230) prior to the national release ($185), if its really that serious.

What I find most exciting about this shoe (you may not share in my excitement) is has been designed to be environmentally correct, perhaps the first “green” shoe in the team sports footwear category.

The XX3, for example, uses a minimal amount of adhesives and glues that are considered environmentally unfriendly, instead relying on an innovative system of interlocking panels, which meant designing new machines to produce the product.

Check out the video of MJ talking about the release here.

I wonder how many more editions will be released after this shoe? Do you think it would be best to end the line with the 23rd edition to commemorate his jersey number?
