Redskins to honor Taylor #21 at Pro Bowl

Sean Taylor, the first player to ever be voted into the Pro Bowl posthumously, will have his jersey number worn at the game by two of his former Redskin teammates, tight-end Chris Cooley and tackle Chris Samuels .
Cooley and Samuels will each wear his own name on the back of the jersey, above the No. 21. The jerseys will be auctioned after the game, with the proceeds benefiting the Sean Taylor Memorial Trust Fund that was established for Taylor's daughter, Jackie.

Obama a Skins fan?!

Not necessarily, but in the midst of the insanity that is the presidential nominations, I'm glad to know that he is finding balance watching football! The Oregonian Politics blog reports that the politician made a few Redskins-related comments during the New Hampshire debate:

One of the moderators, Scott Spradling told Obama that his ears must have been ringing from what the Republicans said about him in the first debate.

"Well, you know," Obama shot back with a sly grin, "I have to admit that I was going back and forth between the Republicans and football."

Big laughter.

"How did the Redskins do?" interjected the other moderator, Charles Gibson.

"The Redskins lost," Obama added, with just the right tone of I'm-unhappy-about-it-but-I'll-get-over-it.

Regardless of which team he roots for, he def seems like the type of guy that you could kick back and watch a game with - even with holes in your socks on a Sunday afternoon.
